The Nylon Zoo in Port Hedland
I've just spent the weekend in the mining town of Port Hedland in Western Australia with my turtle Nylon Zoo. The event was a market held 4 times each year and my wonderful colourful turtle entertained oodles of kiddies and parents. Being such a hot place - it was 35 celsius on Saturday, the event started late afternoon and went into the night. Everything in the town opens at 4am and shuts down late at night. All up I flew approximately 7,000 kms to and from home..
Modelling my fish hats
Dear talented musician friends Sally and Jesse, who perform together as Nice Verdes were gracious enough to model my new fish hats. These will all be a part of a big, new show coming in 2019. Stay tunes!
Easter Sunday at Red Poles in McLaren Vale with the bilby
It was a beautiful sunny day spent at Red Poles cafe/gallery/B & B with our wonderful niece Angie, her partner Remy, two energetic sons Ryder and Hunter, and some lovely friends. Even adults dress up in our colourful capes.
A lovely neighbour to help with some artwork
Lovely Saffron spent some time with me on Saturday painting a puffer fish as a new addition to the fish hats collection.
Some new fish hats for my Nylon Zoo
Lovely Ellie and I working on new fish hats for the Nylon Zoo
The fish hats were such a big hit in Kauai, Hawaii this past July, and also at this years Womadelaide world music festival in South Australia.
